Watching Out for the Foul Balls

So, today I volunteered to help out during the Nebraska High School Softball Tournament here in Hastings. Two hours into helping out, I take a break and go watch a little softball and as luck would have it, there is a foul ball from a distant field and no one yells "Heads up", and I get hit in the head.
Hard.
I finish my shift two hours later,
and realize I had peed myself - ( I'm kidding ).

So I think (concussion withstanding) the point I get from all this is :
In business we can't just be thinking about today.  We need to be thinking about  what we should be doing tomorrow.  It's important to be looking out for the next thing that is going to bean you on the head.

Fairs & Summer

Days are getting cooler and our County and State Fair season is long over.
But I am already looking forward to next year  and our days spent at our Culligan booth :
greeting cuurent customers, making new ones
and tying ballon animals for hundreds of kids -  it's a LOT of fun.
Seems like a huge time committment from the outside, but you can't measure the impact
of showing up in our local communities and making those connections.
It's the extra mile.  Do you go the extra mile ?

Today

I don't know if many guys write blogs.  I'm don't have a clue.  But I have a little bit to say about how great life is and about how I bought my first company with three hundred & sixty-four dollars in my pocket.
I won't be long-winded, as a matter of fact it's a beautiful day and I'm heading out to go flying.
Catch ya later !
